Kansas Jayhawk Coffee Table

My daughter Erin was getting ready to move in her first apartment in Lawrence, Kansas.  We bought this table at the Goodwill store to make a statement piece for the living room.  Here is the "Before"...

We prepped by sanding and cleaning well.  Then base coat of off-white and I hand painted on the design.

We then antiqued it with a glaze and put polycrylic top coat on.  Also note the new hardware.  Here is the "After"....

Enjoy it Erin!

KU Jayhawk Cane

I got this cane at a garage sale for $5.  It was good solid wood.  This is the "Before" shot...

I first sanded and cleaned it, then primed with white primer.  Then taped it off and spray painted red and blue.  Then added the Decals and top coated with polyrylic spray. Here's the "After"...

HAPPY FATHER'S DAY!

This was my first experience with ANNIE SLOAN CHALK PAINT.
I first attended a class at Bella B Decor to learn the basics about this paint technique.  Then I was ready to try it at home.  This is a table i had bought at a garage sale for $5.  It had been gathering dust in my garage for a while, so I just cleaned it off real good.  Here is the "Before".....

As you can see, the top was in bad shape and she was ready for a makeover.

First I painted it Paris Gray
Then I did a wash of old white to give it some variation.  A little distressing with sand paper came next.  Lastly, I did a coat of clear wax and dark wax on top.

Pretty good for my first try with ASCP.  I will definately keep using this paint!

Another Jewelry Box for Carlie

I found this Beauty at the thrift store also.  I almost forgot to take the Before picture, and I had already partially sanded on it.  Say goodbye to someone's lovely Toll Painting creation....

Carefully taped off and spray painted 2 different colors of pink

And here's the "After"....

Jewelry Box for Carlie

I finally found a "thrift store" jewelry box suitable to paint.  My daughter Carlie has an obsession with the pink store and her room is decorated in that theme.
This is the "Before"...

And here's the "After"
Totally done by carefully taping it off and spray painting.
The dog is stencilled on with silver paint and sprinkled with glitter.
Top coat of polycrylic sprayed on.

She Love's it!
