Here is the lovely Buffet table I bought from my friend Jeannie, who had bought it from Brenda...
It was a light oak color with a few imperfections.  But I had visions for this baby...

I first stripped and sanded the top and stained it with dark walnut stain and topped with polyurethane satin.

Then painted two coats of Annie Sloan Arles.

Then topped it with clear and dark waxes.

Wa La! Here is the final product, just as I had envisioned it!

Isn't she a beauty? Erin I hope you enjoy this....

Here is the Before....

I painted it with Annie Sloan Florence and did clear and dark wax plus the gold guilding wax to accent it.

Another completed piece for Erin's apartment.  Lucky girl!
This is the evolution of a bookshelf.  I bought this rustic creation at an auction for $10.  As you can see it was made out of some old doors and probably had been in an old barn or toolshed for a while.  Here are some before pictures:

Sorry, I had started painting a few strokes before I remembered to take some pictures of it.

Then I painted on two coats of annie sloan barcelona orange....

But the orange was just too plain, so I added some streaks of florence and emperor's silk...

Then I dry brushed some orange on top of that....

I distressed it with my palm sander and then applied the stain.  It really deepened the color as you can see below.
And Here is the finished product.  I applied polycrylic top coat for the final finish.

For my daughter Erin....Love, your mom
